How to Make Crescent Roll Tacos

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef or chicken
1 packet taco seasoning
2 tubes of Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls
taco toppings such as:
shredded Mexican or cheddar cheese
diced tomatoes
refried beans
salsa
lettuce

Directions:

1.  Brown the ground beef or chicken.  Drain.  Prepare taco seasoning according to packet directions (however, I use less seasoning and half the water that it calls for when making ground beef, and even LESS seasoning for chicken, otherwise it's too salty).  Stir in taco seasoning.

2.  While meat is absorbing seasoning, prepare the crescent rolls.  Open the tube and unroll each triangle of dough.  Lay two triangles long side to long side, facing opposite directions, on a baking sheet.  See Figure 1.

3.  When meat is finished, pile it in the center of the crescent rolls.  Add cheese, tomatoes, beans, lettuce, salsa, etc.  Then, take each corner and cross it over the top, pinching it to the other side to make a seal.  See Figure 2.

4.  Bake according to crescent roll package directions.
